Devoted Dental Group

Our commitment to an accessible experience for every patient, online and in-office.

Accessibility Statement: Last Updated August 2026

Devoted Dental Group is committed to ensuring our website and physical office environments are accessible to all patients, including individuals with disabilities. We continually work to improve accessibility across all five of our Metro Detroit locations.

1. Our Commitment

Devoted Dental Group believes that quality dental care should be accessible to everyone. This commitment extends beyond our clinical services to include the digital experience of visiting our website and the physical experience of visiting any of our five offices in Chesterfield, Highland, Livonia, Warren, and Wyandotte, Michigan.

We are actively working to ensure that our website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and that our physical office environments comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all applicable Michigan accessibility requirements.

2. Website Accessibility

We have taken the following steps to improve the accessibility of our website:

  • All images include descriptive alt text for screen reader users
  • Page headings follow a logical hierarchical structure (H1 through H3)
  • All pages include a lang="en" attribute for proper screen reader language identification
  • Interactive elements, including buttons and links, include descriptive aria-label attributes
  • Color contrast ratios meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 Level AA minimum of 4.5:1 for standard text
  • All form fields include associated labels for assistive technology compatibility
  • The website is navigable using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse
  • Focus indicators are visible when navigating with a keyboard
  • Videos and multimedia content include captions where applicable
  • The website does not use content that flashes more than three times per second
  • All pages include appropriate canonical tags, meta descriptions, and structured data

3. WCAG 2.1 Conformance

Our website targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including:

  • Visual disabilities — color blindness, low vision, blindness
  • Hearing disabilities — hard of hearing, deafness
  • Motor disabilities — limited hand control, inability to use a mouse
  • Cognitive disabilities — learning disabilities, distractibility, difficulty with complex content

WCAG 2.1 is organized around four principles: content must be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR).

4. Assistive Technologies

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Keyboard navigation: Full site navigation without a mouse
  • Browser zoom: Content reflows correctly at up to 200% zoom
  • High contrast modes: Windows High Contrast and macOS Increase Contrast
