Finding a Dentist Who Accepts Medicaid
Not every dental practice accepts Medicaid, and even among those that do, availability can vary by region. When calling around, ask specifically whether the practice accepts your particular Medicaid plan (Medicaid is administered through several different managed care organizations in Michigan) and whether they're accepting new Medicaid patients, some practices cap how many they can take on.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Bring your Medicaid or Healthy Michigan Plan ID card to your appointment. The front desk team will verify your active coverage and specific benefits before your visit, so there aren't surprises about what's covered and what, if anything, you might owe out of pocket.
If a Treatment Isn't Covered
